🕸Black Walnut (especially the green hull)
How it works:
Contains juglone, tannins, and iodine-like compounds.
These substances are toxic to many parasites but relatively tolerable to humans at proper doses.
Juglone interferes with parasites’ enzymes and cellular respiration, essentially making their internal environment unlivable.
The strong astringent action tightens tissues in the gut, which helps dislodge worms so they can be expelled.
What it targets most:
Adult worms
Particularly effective against intestinal parasites (roundworms, tapeworm segments)
🌿 Wormwood
How it works:
Rich in bitter compounds (absinthin, thujone).
Bitters stimulate digestive secretions (stomach acid, bile), which parasites dislike.
Thujone is neurotoxic to worms, disrupting their nervous system and ability to cling to the intestinal wall.
Creates a gut environment that’s too bitter and hostile for parasites to survive.
What it targets most:
Larval stages
Pinworms, roundworms
Also helps prevent reinfestation by making the terrain unfriendly
🤝 Why they’re often combined
Together, they form a one–two punch:
Wormwood weakens and stuns parasites
Black walnut poisons and helps expel them.
Clove is added because clove’s eugenol can damage parasite eggs, which neither herb fully addresses alone.
Nicotiana Rustica aids in cleansing.
⚠️ Important cautions (really important)
Wormwood (due to thujone) should not be used long-term or during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or by people with seizure disorders.
Black walnuts can be harsh on the liver in high doses and may trigger reactions in people with nut allergies.
Die-off reactions (fatigue, headache, nausea) can happen as parasites die and release toxins.
These herbs are powerful—more like medicine than gentle tonics.
